Pikakari Beach is situated on the Paljassaare peninsula in northern Tallinn, Estonia. It is a beautiful sandy beach located near the historic Katariina pier, which was constructed as part of Peter the Great’s sea fortress. The beach is well-equipped with changing cabins, a volleyball court, swings, a children’s playground, benches, a boardwalk, trash bins, and outdoor toilets.
Pikakari is in the north side of Põhja- Tallinn. On your way to the Beach you pass by Arsenal Keskus and check out Port Noblesser to your right side.
Pikakari Beach in Summer
During the summer months, Pikakari Beach is a popular destination for swimming, sunbathing, and playing beach volleyball. Visitors can also take a stroll along the boardwalk or enjoy a picnic on the benches. The sea becomes deep fast at this sandy beach, and there is a stony bottom in the first few meters only, which adds excitement to the waves created by passing passenger ships.

In winter, Pikakari is a great place for you to hunt for the Auroras. As it has areas that are dark enough. The beach is situated away from the city lights, providing an ideal location to witness this natural phenomenon. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of the aurora borealis while standing on the beach.
