Terms of Service
Last updated: July 24, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Trawell app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Trawell. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please give accurate account information and keep it up to date.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, or to infringe anyone’s rights.
- Upload content you don’t have the right to share, or that is harmful, abusive, or violates others’ privacy.
- Attempt to access other users’ data, disrupt the Service, or circumvent its security.
- Misuse the file upload feature (files must be within the app’s stated type and size limits).
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create in Trawell — your trips, lists, expenses, files and notes. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate the Service for you and, for shared trips, to show it to the other members of those trips. You’re responsible for the content you add and for having the rights to share it.
4. Shared trips
When you create or join a shared trip, other members can view and contribute to that trip’s content, and any member can add, edit or delete shared items and expenses. Only add people you trust to a shared trip. Content you keep private (a private trip, or a private item) is not shown to other members.
5. Expenses & money
The expense, balance and “settle-up” features only record and calculate amounts to help you split costs. Any actual payments between members happen directly between those people, outside of Trawell. We don’t verify amounts, guarantee that anyone will pay, or take responsibility for disputes between members. Payment details shown in the app are provided by users themselves — verify them before sending money.
6. Third-party services
The Service uses third parties such as Google Sign-In, Apple Sign In, and Open-Meteo for weather. Your use of those features may also be subject to those providers’ terms. Weather and other third-party data are provided “as is” and may not always be accurate.
7. Availability & changes
We work to keep the Service running well, but we don’t guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, and we may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
8. Termination
You can stop using Trawell and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm other users or us. You can export or delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You use Trawell at your own discretion and risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trawell and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including any disputes or losses related to money split or tracked between trip members.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts located there, unless applicable law grants you rights in your own country of residence.
